Equipment Information
Equipment requirements for AYSA are minimal.
Team T-shirts are provided through your soccer fees.
Parents are responsible for the following items:
- Soft shin guards are required as well as some kind of soccer sock or longer
athletic sock worn over the shin guard.
- Soccer cleats are optional but recommended for children 10 years and older.
Younger players can wear sneakers if cleats are not available. If you purchase shoes,
they cannot have a center toe ‘cleat’ and cleats must be made of plastic or rubber.
- Glasses should have a strap.
- No jewelry, rings, studs, necklaces, metal hairpins, etc. allowed.
- Soccer ball for practice before games and at home. Size 3 for age 5-7, Size 4 for ages 8-11,
and Size 5 for ages 12 and older. Be sure to have the child’s name on the ball.
- Water bottle for practices and games. Please mark the child’s name on the water bottle.
Promotional Items
AYS will have soccer balls and shorts available this year. We will be selling these during registration
and again at the parent information meeting in the Spring.
